Happy and Holy 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time!  On this Mother’s Day we share the joy and blessing of mothers and honor them with prayer and gifts of love.

Let us listen to the beautiful words of Pope St. John Paul II, “Thank you, women who are mothers! You have sheltered human beings within yourselves in a unique experience of joy and travail. This experience makes you become God’s own smile upon the newborn child, the one who guides your child’s first steps, who helps it to grow, and who is the anchor as the child makes its way along the journey of life.

Thank you, women who are wives! You irrevocably join your future to that of your husbands, in a relationship of mutual giving, at the service of love and life.

Thank you, women who are daughters and women who are sisters! Into the heart of the family, and then of all society, you bring the richness of your sensitivity, your intuitiveness, your generosity and fidelity.

Thank you, women who work!  You are present and active in every area of life-social, economic, cultural, artistic and political. In this way you make an indispensable contribution to the growth of a culture which unites reason and feeling, to a model of life ever open to the sense of “mystery”, to the establishment of economic and political structures ever more worthy of humanity.

Thank you, consecrated women!  Following the example of the greatest of women, the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word, you open yourselves with obedience and fidelity to the gift of God’s love. You help the Church and all mankind to experience a “spousal” relationship to God, one which magnificently expresses the fellowship which God wishes to establish with his creatures.

Thank you, every woman, for the simple fact of being a woman!  Through the insight which is so much a part of your womanhood you enrich the world’s understanding and help to make human relations more honest and authentic.“  (Letter to Women #2)

On a second note, you may notice the work being done in the Parish Center/Gym as we begin to install the new HVAC system in having for the first air conditioning in the building.

It’s still the Easter Season! Alleluia! He is Risen! Alleluia! Indeed He is Risen! Alleluia!

¡Feliz y Santo VI Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario! En este día de las Madres, compartimos la alegría y la bendición de las madres y las honramos con oraciones y regalos de amor.

Escuchemos las hermosas palabras que dijo el Papa San Juan Pablo II: “Te doy gracias, mujer-madre, que te conviertes en seno del ser humano con la alegría y los dolores de parto de una experiencia única, la cual te hace sonrisa de Dios para el niño que viene a la luz y te hace guía de sus primeros pasos, apoyo de su crecimiento, punto de referencia en el posterior camino de la vida.

Te doy gracias, mujer-esposa, que unes irrevocablemente tu destino al de un hombre, mediante una relación de recíproca entrega, al servicio de la comunión y de la vida.

Te doy gracias, mujer-hija y mujer-hermana, que aportas al núcleo familiar y también al conjunto de la vida social las riquezas de tu sensibilidad, intuición, generosidad y constancia.

Te doy gracias, mujer-trabajadora, que participas en todos los ámbitos de la vida social, económica, cultural, artística y política, mediante la indispensable aportación que das a la elaboración de una cultura capaz de conciliar razón y sentimiento, a una concepción de la vida siempre abierta al sentido del «misterio», a la edificación de estructuras económicas y políticas más ricas de humanidad.

Te doy gracias, mujer-consagrada, que, a ejemplo de la más grande de las mujeres, la Madre de Cristo, Verbo encarnado, te abres con docilidad y fidelidad al amor de Dios, ayudando a la Iglesia y a toda la humanidad a vivir para Dios una respuesta «esponsal», que expresa maravillosamente la comunión que Él quiere establecer con su criatura.

Te doy gracias, mujer, ¡por el hecho mismo de ser mujer! Con la intuición propia de tu femineidad enriqueces la comprensión del mundo y contribuyes a que las relaciones humanas sean más honestas y auténticas.” (Carta a las Mujeres #2)

Pasando a otro tema.  Usted puede darse cuenta del trabajo que se está realizando en el Centro Parroquial/Gimnasio, para instalar el nuevo sistema HVAC.  Este será el primer aire acondicionado en el edificio.

¡Todavía es la temporada de Pascua!  ¡Aleluya!  ¡Él ha resucitado! ¡Aleluya!  ¡Ciertamente Él ha Resucitado!   ¡Aleluya!
