   Happy 3rd Sunday in Advent. Today is Gaudete Sunday where we REJOICE in the joy and blessing of our faith in the coming of Jesus at Christmas.  We are blessed this year to have this Sunday surrounded by the great Marian feast of the Immaculate Conception and tomorrow with Our Lady of Guadalupe.

   Why do we rejoice?  It is the child to be born.  Why do we rejoice? It is for the gift of the Incarnation of the only begotten Son of God made man in the person of Jesus Christ. Why do we rejoice? It is the reality that we are made for rejoicing in love.

   We are now just a few short weeks from  Christmas day and our focus begins to directed more and more upon the Child Jesus.  We know in our families the joy, anticipation and growth that comes from the birth of a baby into the family.  The phrase from the Gospels, “but for God all things are possible.” (Mt 19:26) is never truer than the hope and joy the infant brings and the unlimited possibilities God shines upon us.

   This is joy the child Jesus brings to the whole world.  The possibilities of seeing all life as of gift full of joy.  The possibilities of families filled with blessings and graces of unity.  The possibilities of each person growing and living in the dignity and respect of a true child of God made in the likeness and image of our Heavenly Father. It is the possibility of life eternal, redemption and forgiveness filling the world and healing the sins of division and bringing light into the darkness of the world.  This becomes the true hope of our faith, our belief and our trust in God as we worship the child who is born in Bethlehem. It is the possibility made true in the fulfillment God’s covenant with His people when we choose to walk with our Lord Jesus in our daily journey of faith.  So let us REJOICE and give thanks in anticipation of the blessing of life, the gift of life shining in our world.

   Feliz tercer domingo de Adviento. Hoy es Domingo de Gaudete, día de regocijo, día en que nuestra fe se llena de bendiciones y gozo ante la venida de Jesús en Navidad. Este año estamos muy bendecidos al tener este domingo, rodeado de dos grandes fiestas Marianas:  La Inmaculada Concepción de Maria y mañana, nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

   ¿Y Por qué nos regocijamos? Porque el niño esta por nacer. ¿Por qué nos regocijamos? Por el don de la Encarnación del Hijo unigénito de Dios hecho hombre en la persona de Jesucristo. ¿Por qué nos regocijamos? Por el hecho mismo, de que hechos sido creados para regocijarnos en el amor.

   Ahora estamos a solo unas pocas semanas del día de Navidad y nuestra atención comienza a dirigirse más y más hacia el Niño Jesús. Conocemos en nuestras familias la alegría, la anticipación y el crecimiento que proviene del nacimiento de un bebé en la familia.  La frase de los Evangelios que dice: “Pero para Dios todas las cosas son posibles”. (Mt 19,26) nunca ha sido más verdadero que la esperanza y la alegría que trae el niño y, las posibilidades infinitas que Dios brilla sobre nosotros.

   Este es el gozo que el niño Jesús trae al mundo entero. Las posibilidades de ver toda la vida como un don lleno de alegría. las posibilidades de familias llenas de bendiciones y gracias de unidad. Las posibilidades de que cada persona crezca y viva en la dignidad y el respeto de un verdadero hijo de Dios hecho a semejanza e imagen de nuestro Padre Celestial. Es la posibilidad de la vida eterna, la redención y el perdón llenando el mundo y sanando los pecados de la división y trayendo luz a la oscuridad del mundo. Esto se convierte en la verdadera esperanza de nuestra fe, nuestro credo y nuestra total confianza en Dios mientras adoramos al niño que nace en Belén. Es la posibilidad hecha realidad en el cumplimiento del pacto de Dios con su pueblo, cuando elegimos caminar con nuestro Señor Jesús en nuestra jornada diaria de fe. Así que REGOCIJÉMONOS y demos gracias anticipando la bendición de la vida, el regalo de la vida que brilla en nuestro mundo.

   Solo un último recordatorio, consulte nuestro horario de Navidad para las Misas y no olvide invitar a amigos y familiares a unirse a nosotros para celebrar el nacimiento de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo.
