The St. Lawrence Advantage begins in the state licensed Pre-K, a Catholic morning program 2-5 days per week. Children from ages 3-5 learn age-appropriate small and large motor skills, kindergarten readiness and social skills through a developmentally appropriate curriculum. They participate in physical education, library visits, the computer lab, pet care, gardening, music, science, cooking, and nutrition in addition to the early literacy and quantitative activities. Religion is woven throughout the day as part of the curriculum. Pre-K participates in special events for their class such as the Trike-a-thon, St. Patrick's Day Tea, the Pumpkin Blessing, and the Thanksgiving Feast with Kindergarten. They are all also part of school-wide events including the Walk-a-thon, the Halloween parade and Dr. Seuss Day. A separate licensed day care program is available in the Pre-K rooms before and after school for Pre-K students.
