Parents

Research has demonstrated that students whose parents are actively involved in their school experience higher achievement and higher school satisfaction.

At St. Lawrence, parents complete 30 hours of service per year (15 hours for single parent families) by participating in a variety of ways from classroom and playground assistance to fundraising events to Paint, Repair, and Clean-Up Saturdays. Students enjoy seeing their parents at school and knowing that the school is as important to the parents as it is to the student.

Parents also support St. Lawrence School through fundraising efforts sponsored by the PTG and the Development Office. The PTG fundraising efforts include the Sally Foster sale, Comedy Club, the Walk-A-Thon, the Sees Easter candy sale, and the Scrip/eScrip program. Families are expected to purchase $4000 annually of Scrip and eScrip, raise $150 per child through the fundraisers, and complete 30 service hours. The Development Program includes the Endowment Program, the Annual Advancement Campaign, and the annual dinner/auction.
