Annual Advancement Campaign
The Annual Advancement Campaign is an opportunity for supporters and members of the St. Lawrence Education Community to support our dream of providing quality Catholic education for all qualified applicants.
For 2010-2011 the Elementary & Middle School AAC goal is $100,000. We can meet this challenge only as a community. Working with you, we will maintain our programs, strengthen and improve them.
Contribution Guideline
We recommend $150.00 per Elementary and Middle School student. We recognize that everyone may not be able to make the same gift in the same way. We do believe that each family can make a contribution that fits its circumstances and supports our mutual determination to maintain and improve the educational environment and program we have created here. To that end, we ask that every family contribute. Our goal is 100% participation.
Ways to Give
You may make your gift by cash, check, or credit card. Please make cash donations in person, make checks payable to St. Lawrence Education Center, and call the Development Office at (408) 296-2260 x322 to arrange credit card payments.
Donate Stock or Property
Please discuss these gifts with your financial advisor as it is often more advantageous to make a direct donation rather than selling and donating the proceeds. Contact the Development Office for more information.
Make a Pledge
When you make a pledge, you may have your periodic contributions made directly from your credit card or bank account. Once a year, we send you a record of your contribution history for tax purposes.
Matching Gifts
Please check with your employer to determine if your company supports a matching donation program.
GIFTS TO THE ANNUAL ADVANCEMENT CAMPAIGN ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
Other Ways to Give
In addition to the Annual Advancement Campaign, there are other ways to make a gift to St. Lawrence Elementary and Middle Schools. We welcome gifts to the Endowment Fund, gifts in Honor or in Memory of family, friends, business associates, Lifetime Income Gifts, and Bequests. Contact the Development Office for assistance with these kinds of gifts.
Events
Annual Comedy Club
The second Saturday in October, the Education Center hosts an evening of comedy and community. Primarily a social event, this evening provides an opportunity for all members of the Education Center and Parish Community to get to know one another and to have fun together. The proceeds of this event are distributed evenly to the Elementary and Middle Schools and the Academy High School. Donations of time, talent, and treasure are credited to the family's Parent-Teacher Group/Parent Club requirements.
Annual Dinner and Auction
Every February, the Development Office sponsors the Annual Dinner/Auction. A themed evening of food, friendship, and fundraising becomes a highlight of each year. In the transformed Community Center, guests are transported to an island paradise, an earlier time, or a combination rodeo/hoedown! The auction/dinner is the major Development fundraising event and the proceeds are used for long term growth, long term projects, continued facility improvements, scholarships and financial aid. Donations of time and talent are credited to the Parent-Teacher Group/Parent Club service hour requirement; and donations of treasure, monetary or actual items are credited to the AAC.
