Welcome to St. Lawrence Elementary and Middle Schools!

We are delighted that you are interested in our school and invite you to read the information on this website, schedule a tour, and learn about the St. Lawrence Advantage for students to Believe, Achieve, and Succeed.

From our developmentally-based pre-school program through early reading/literacy and mathematics programs to music and art instruction, hands-on science, laptop-based learning at the middle school grades, Algebra, physical education, after school athletics, homework center and private music lessons, our goal is to form and educate the whole child in partnership with parents.

We strive to create a challenging and nurturing learning environment where children feel safe and at home. Our community has a family atmosphere -- one in which students, parents and teachers know one another and care about and for each other.

Our religion program with weekly liturgies and on-going service projects forms the cornerstone of a strong academic program built on diocesan and state standards in all areas of the curriculum.

Before and after school care is available daily at the Pre-school, at the Children's Center for grades K-5, and at the Teen Center for grades 6-8. Homework time is provided with a classroom teacher supervising Homework Clinic for Middle School students. Vacation and summer camps provide wholesome fun and activities including swimming and swimming lessons in a safe, values-oriented environment.

Recently, I have heard from parents that our school program is challenging, that the teachers are caring and nurturing, that the one-to-one Middle School computer initiative has drawn families to the schools, that students and families have a strong feeling of connectedness, and that the Middle School teachers are both challenging and supportive. We welcome feedback and suggestions from our community.
