ADMISSION PROCEDURES
The first step for admission is to complete the application form and submit it to the school office with the application fee. Be certain that you have a copy of the Admission Checklist to ensure that all required forms and information are submitted,
Students are then given a screening date and time. All new students will be screened to determine their readiness for the grades for which they are applying. Families will be notified by mail or telephone of their screening date.
Admission will be determined by screening results, recommendation forms, and interview. All applicants will be notified of their admission status by letter or telephone.
St. Lawrence Elementary and Middle Schools do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, nationality, and/or ethnic origin, age, sex or disability in administration of education policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
The schools give first admission preference to students of registered, participating St. Lawrence parishioners and siblings of students currently enrolled in the Education Center; secondly to Catholic students of non-parishioners; and thirdly to non-Catholics.
Admission is secured by the payment of the annual registration fee and signing the tuition agreement.
Incoming kindergarten students and parents meet with the kindergarten teacher in August before school begins to see the classroom and visit with the teacher.
New middle school students are invited to an ice-cream social in August to meet the middle school staff and to meet each other.
