The Saint Lawrence Advantage in Preschool
As the longest running licensed Pre-K in the Diocese of San Jose, we know how to inspire a love for learning in our youngest students. In a nurturing and attentive Catholic environment, we prepare our students for Kindergarten academically, socially and emotionally. Through a well-rounded curriculum infusing academics, physical activity and the arts, we encourage self-expression and responsibility. Early literacy and scientific and numerical reasoning are the foundation of our academic program. Co-curricular programs allow our youngest learners to experience the wonder and awe of SMART Technology, Physical Education, Spanish, Science, Cooking, Art, and Gardening. Specialist teachers visit weekly to teach Dance and Music.
Pre-K students also travel to our school Library and go to Mass with the whole school community weekly, attend our monthly school assemblies and participate in special events such as the Trike-a-thon, St. Patrick’s Day Tea, the Pumpkin Blessing, and the Thanksgiving Feast with Kindergarten. They are all also part of school-wide events including the Walk-a-thon, Halloween parade, Dr. Seuss Day and the Olympics.
A separate licensed day care program is available in the Pre-K rooms before and after school for Preschool students.
