Guadalupe Society
St. Lawrence, the Martyr’s Guadalupe Society was established March 12, 1962 for the purpose of honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe and promoting spiritual and social activities in the parish.  Among the Guadalupe Society’s activities is the annual celebration of the “Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe” in which Our Lady is serenaded by special music for the occasion on the second Sunday in December at the 8 am Mass.   Members meet on the last Friday of the month in the Parish Hall.  Guests are always welcome and membership is open to all parishioners.  Won’t you join us? St. Lawrence Seniors
The St. Lawrence Seniors wish to enrich Christian life through sharing of self and social activities. We have Potluck Luncheons on the 2nd Thursday of each month, September through June. The luncheons are held in the Parish Hall at 12:15pm.The months of July and August are open for vacations. We now have twenty members.New members are always welcome. For further information call Terry at 243-6487 or Harriet at 248-8240.

Friendship Club
The Friendship Club offers ladies of the Parish an opportunity to meet for lunch in order to stay connected to the Parish and establish new friendships. The Club meets for lunch on a regularly (every 3 months). Please contact Mary Ann Miller at 867-5503 for more information.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is an international, fraternal, and service organization for Catholic men.The Knights of Columbus has become the largest lay organization in the Church.  The Saint Lawrence Council of the Knights of  Columbus was established soon after the formation of the Parish. St. Lawrence is an integral part of the faith community of St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish.  Since it was founded, the Knights have participated in numerous parish activities. Excellent insurance programs are available for members and their families. The Knights have been serving pancake breakfasts on the second Sunday of the Month for over sixteen years. Meetings are held in the Parish Hall on the second Wednesday of the month. 

CHARITY, UNITY, FRATERNITY, AND PATRIOTISM 

Knights of the Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood.  The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The Order is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ.  If you are interested in joining or want more information, contact the Parish Office at 296-3000.

Filipino Association
The Filipino Association has many on going projects to help raise funds for the Parish. A few examples include the following: Reno trips (three times a year); Krispy Kreme Doughnut Sales (every third Wednesday of the Month); phone card sales; and a Dinner Dance held every year.

We also sponsor different receptions throughout the year including the First Communion Reception, Alpha Seminar Dinners, and Lenten Soup Suppers. This coming September, we are planning on having a food booth at the Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival at Central Park. Beginning five years ago, the Association started sponsoring the Simbang Gabi Masses and Dinners, which are held every year from December 15th through the 23rd. Simbang Gabi is a Filipino tradition of celebrating the nine days leading to Christmas in preparation for the birth of Jesus. The Filipino Choir also sings at Sunday Noon Mass. Our Association has grown in service not only to    the Parish but also to the neighboring community.  We invite you to join us in this service and in keeping our traditions alive for the next generation. Serra Club

The Serra Club of Santa Clara is a chartered club of Serra International. Serra International was formed in 1935. Serra Club of Santa Clara was chartered in 1967 to serve twelve parishes of the Diocese of San Jose. Each of these parishes has Serran members. Serra has clubs in thirty-eight countries, has more than eight hundred clubs and over nineteen thousand members. Its first objective is to foster and preserve vocations to the ministerial priesthood and the religious orders of the Catholic Church.
